The Acai (it's pronounced ass-eye-eee) berry grows exclusively in the heart of Brazil's Amazon basin. Acai fruit grow in large bunches at the top of palm trees. Acai berries are dark purple in color and similar in size to grapes, but with much less pulp (90% of the Acai fruit is seed with 10% actual edible pulp).
